Hello,

I would like to know if bare root fig trees can be shipped during winter time, like any other decidious fruit trees.Exs: pear, plum, apricots, apple, peach, etc...
I do not see any reason why not. However I have never seen a bare root fig tree in any nursery outlet. I would like to have answers on this.Thank you.Jaime

RE: Bare root fig trees

Yes, fig trees can be shipped barerooted during the winter time. A number of on-line nursery company's sell them that way. Sometime's Lowe's or HomeDepot will carry them packaged in wood shavings but you run the risk of getting a mislabeled tree. Contact me through my email and I can offer more information.
