Charlie Charlie Charlie, I am happy to hear good news that you did have a very good harvest but I did not use pinching method bcs some of my figs did not grow too much and ripening was like yours except I am in a much colder climate. plus, some of my fig trees were left outside and froze to the ground, shoots came up and gave me ripe fruits.
It means strange thigs do happen from year to year.

A good thing happens this past winter,as most of my in the ground figs died,maybe not to the ground with some but i now have a chance to chainsaw them flush to the ground,as they starting to grow i pinch them at about 4 feet because of deer pressure, now they are 8 feet tall with a lot of multy branches, way too much.I did not get a lot of figs this year but grows.
