| I want to purchase a fig. I have a supplier near me who carries Celestic... What is your opinion of it's taste and texture? Is it prone to splitting after lots of rain??

| My Celeste fruit split only after the heavy rains when the hurricane (i don't recall the name anymore...argh) came through earlier this year. Otherwise, I haven't had problems with splitting. When ripe and not water logged, flavor is good, but I have limited experience with other varieties. |
