Black Jack and 'Italian Everbearing'

Hello again...two posts in one day...a definite record for me :)

I actually did search the archives before posting this and wasn't completely clear about my the answer to my question, so here goes: Is the flesh of the Black Jack fig amber colored or red? I've seen it written both ways. At NAFEX it's described this way:

"Black Jack - A large to very large purple brown fig with amber pulp streaked with strawberry. Oblate, flattened. Good flavor. Fairly hardy. Black Jack is an unidentified variety. Some think it is identical with California Brown Turkey. Synonym: Black Spanish"

I've seen the opinions about it possibly being BT, but then I see pictures of it. In the pictures the ripe figs are almost black - much darker than any BT I've seen.

Secondly, is there a consensus of opinion about a fig called "Italian Everbearing"?
