I am south of you but my experience with 1st year cuttings is they will continue to grow if you can keep above 45*. With such young cuttings I would not expose to frost the first season. When older they will adjust to normal fruiting and dormant time at this point there isn't that clock working IMHO. I'm sure others with similar climate might be of more help

You most certainly can carry those cuttings thru the winter by keeping them indoors or in a greenhouse. I would not allow those small cuttings pictured to become dormant. You would likely loose them all if you did.

Just for added information........in zone 9 it is much easier to begin rooting your fig cuttings in early January rather than earlier. Sometimes it is a real PITA to start rooting fig cuttings indoors too early (i.e. before January). However, it most certainly can be done. You will just have to pay close attention to lighting and moisture control until such time as you can move them completely outdoors.

Good information My cutting are almost to root and I will plant them in pots and keep them in door under a greenhouse lighting lamp. I might give them some fertilizer. I guess they can go outside in spring is they grow one Gallon.

If dealing with a manageable amount of cuttings lol that have rooted I would prefer natural sunlight and bring inside when temps are going to be 40* or less. In Jacksonville Fl looking at your Avg. temps it would NOT be a daily chore. If kept inside than a grow light would be needed r a sun room
