Help ID this variety.

Well after a lot of work transplanting last year and caretaking this year I had an abysmal crop of fruits this year. I'm thinking that I'm not really sure of my varieties so perhaps I am trying to grow a type that's not good in Southern NY.

This tree has dozens or fruits on it and until last week they were small and hard. We had a good bit of rain and they "exploded" on me, really nothing to enjoy.

Can anyone help ID the variety? It was purchased 15 years ago as a small plant at a commercial nursery here in NY.

The fruit on the napkin was actually ripe and tasty but very small.
