| Greetings to the fourm members. I recently purchased two Celeste fig trees from a Ebay seller in Texas. I have been reading past posts and now want to check the roots for Nemotodes. I dont want to name the seller on the fourm he sells all types of plants and lists celeste fig trees (2) all the time I was considering just tossing them. Just to be on the safe side. There are tiny plants, just rooted twigs so no great loss. Im interested in what the members think Thank you MTD |

Hello mtddigs, Gently remove the tree from the pot. If you don't see what I call little pearl clusteres on the roots then I would take it a step further and wash all the dirt to expose the entire root ball. Look over the entire root system and if their clean with no signs of a Nematode infestations then go head a repot it. You should be good to go. Good luck Lou NE., PA |

Hello mtddigs, Mtddigs, I just looked back in my photobucket page to find a photo showing what that infestation looks like on the roots of a fig tree. I took this photo way back when I had the problem. Might help you knowing what to look for if your not exactly sure. Lou NE.,

| Thank you for the helpfull advice, I checked the roots of both small plants using the method you suggested. I was a good plan to rinse the roots under the tap, Both of the plants seemed to be free of nemotodes. Thanks Again MTD |
