| Yes/No/Maybe. Depending on the source of the propagative material, they may be they same or different. Different soil and climate will also make them different. If not the same, then they are closely related - along with Petit Negri, and probably some others. They are some of the most confused names/varieties that exist because both have most likely been sold under both of those names, and more. |

| The figs and leaves of my VdB and Beer's Black are identical. Negronne fruit is very similar but I find it has leaves with fingers that are a bit longer. I have not grown these long enough to know if there is any difference in productivity. They are all very good figs. Dan |
