Second season indoors?

LawPaw

I have two fig trees I acquired this spring. They are both in containers and dormant.

I don't have a great place to store them for the winter that isn't either too warm or potentially too cold. No attached garage, the best I could do would be an uninsulated attic storage space.

I was considering putting them in front of a couple of large south facing windows, and have them brake dormacy for a second growing season. Then in March (a few weeks before our final frost) I would transition them outside again bringing them back into dormacy and allowing them to break dormacy outdoors when it gets warm enough.

Is their a reason why this would be a terrible idea. I realize it is not ideal.
