I think this is Ficus auriculata
Seeds obtained from fruit from a friend's tree, one came up out of about 50.

your friend (who gave you the seeds)?

They don't seem all that attractive to eat, I haven't tried. But apparently in India they eat them...

Does this type of tree grow to be very large?

I tried a fruit once, not great. Maybe in a warmer climate they may be edible. Very nice foliage on this tree.
