Hello!

I bought a little Ficus Benjamina last spring and it was never healthy. I noticed soon after I brought it home that it was full of white flies and scales, so I kept it outside all summer and squished/picked at what I could see, hoping that nature would help control the rest. But it has lost most of its leaves since then and the new ones are pale and very small. I brought it in for winter once temperatures got too cold and it got good fertilization all year.

is it sick because of the bugs? I think I've sqished them all because I don't see any anymore. But most of its remaining leaves just don't look healthy and although it has many new leaves budding, they grow very pale and tiny, and fall off prematurely. Some old leaves also have powdery dots of white and grey/black around the perimeter and I don't know what that is either. :(
