I'm glad to know that we are friends for that means alot to me. I also do not want to hurt peoples feelings.
I get very emotional when I see what is going on in our society. I see it crumbling at such a fast pace. At the same time I see what greed and carelesness are doing to our environment. We live in such a beautiful planet. I
have appreciate it since I can remember. I have been a boy scout and learned to always leave a place cleaner than how
I found it. Never to carve on trees. I have learned never to waste anything. My mother told me as a very young child
never to waste. When I was in my teens I was told that the time would come before 2000,that trees would be a rarety.
They would be found only in special places like a museum.
I saw Hudson river in NY so polutted that there were signs
not to swim due to toxic conditions. I felt so negative
about my future that I began to look for a hope. That came in the form of finding my faith. I was an agnostic myself.
In my faith I found hope and much more. I'm glad that is 2009 and there are plenty of trees. I have planted dozens of trees in my life. Hudson river is so much cleaner that I would take my older boy crabbing for the crabs retuned.
Not only did I get hope in my faith but by educating people,people became more responsive of their environment.
And the polution was reverse.
I have been a bird watcher and have tought what I believe to my three children and now grandchildren. I am doing my part and that is my responsibility.
