A straw work just as well and you save energy and consume protein that otherwise would go to waste.

Just how long have you been snorting flies, Felix? While I relish the idea of free protein, I'm squirmish about snorting without boiling or pickling them first. Ah, there goes the energy savings.

Wanda, love that your Chihuahua is a fly catcher. Maybe I can train my beta? Ruby seems to have lost interest as she's grown older. Saves her energy for squirrels and poor anoles that formerly had tails.

Marilyn I got one of those zapper fly swatter that resembles a racket. They are great for flys, skeeters and wasp and other stinging things. You hit them in mid-air and they zap and sizzle if you are into that sort of thing (you have to hold the racket just right to do the sizzle thing)

I have a cat that loves to catch fly's. Kind of cool to watch her snatch them right out of the air and make a tasty snack out of them........mmmmmmm yummmy! NOT!!!
