I am new to gardening- other than a few peppers & herbs potted in my lanai. Trying an outdoor/in ground garden this year- started out great but now with heat everything is struggling. I had a caterpillar infestation last week- had to resort to BT- which I wanted to avoid-have been trying so hard to keep pesticides out- using dawn soap seemed to be working up until now- the BT may have killed the caterpillars-not sure yet- but all the leaves have dropped off my pepper plants-green bean bushes still have some leaves but they are falling quick- squash & zucchini seems to be the next victim- any solutions?? I heard that beer in saucers will lure caterpillars in & they will drown- but can't keep beer out long enough before rain washes it out. Getting frustrated here in Tampa FL!!
