White butterfly takes a lot of sun, in fact I think it needs it to bloom well. Most of my garden is sun and all the gingers had to learn to like it, since I lost 6 of the trees I had for shade in the hurricanes. What they seem to want, if they get the sun, is water.

Hi Kathy,
You have a good point. After the storms I dug up my plants and put them in pots to raise the grade.

My 2 butterfly gingers are in full sun. the blue ginger and the pink globbia need a good amount of shade ( I think)

I think it may be time to see if the others can stand more sun that I have them in I want to get them in the ground again. Thanks,
