I love 'Garden Junk'

I wanted to post this just in case any of you have never browsed the "Garden Junk" forum. I realize it's not for everyone. I don't have much garden junk myself--but I just love this forum. Whenever I'm feeling a bit down I go there and it cheers me up. They are the nicest people. Here's a link for a wondeful discussion on bottle trees with great pictures.

Me too! I've been lurking for years. I've also been a curb side shopper for a very long time. Furnished many apartments that way. Our gardens in NH had lots of old farm impliments on display. I have a table that I curb shopped waiting to be impelished but I'm not sure what I want to do yet.
I agree Bill they are a wonderful group of folks.

Bill-I lurk around there too! Some of it is way to klitzy for me, but there are some pretty talented folks there. It always gives me a smile too...like how many ways can you make a bowling ball look worse than it already does? lol...it is fun over there and they are super sweet people.

I lurk once and a while too over there. I should post this there, an idea for Christmas tree stands. You can use them to hold the tiki torches, ect. You can even plant in the bottom of them to decorate. I got this idea from a magazine and thought I'd try it somehow.

Nicki, where have you been? I haven't seen you on GW in I don't know how long. I've really missed your posts and comments.

I don't have a bottle tree yet--partly because I haven't quite convinced Ana yet. Please post pics if you make one. I like them especially when they're all one color. The blue ones are really pretty. I'm thinking about an all green one, which I've never seen before.

Hi Bill! I've been working too much... aaaah, the stress of being your own boss. :-) It's all good, though.

I've always loved the bottle trees. I just don't have a lot of bottles collected yet, and I'm never sure if I want it all one color, or multicolored. I'm tacky, so I bet I'd go with multicolored. I know exactly where I'd put it, so I guess I just need to get the post and pound some nails into it. Add bottles as I get them.

I hope Ana comes around. I think they're neat, and I like the story behind them.
