In green old gardens, hidden away

From sight of revel and sound of strife,

Here I have leisure to breathe and move,

And to do my work in a nobler way;

To sing my songs, and to say my say;

To Dream my dreams, and to love my love;

To hold my faith, and to live my life.

Making the most of its shadowy day.

thank you for a lovely poem and the photo.

I love my garden that way. wish my yard was "hidden away" so my neighbors don't see me looking at the same plants several times a day and think me crazy but that's life.

"The Secret Garden"(with walls) is my dream and I'm the only one with a key :-)

Hi NaplesGardener ~ You are welcome. We worked on making our yard private many, many years ago. We like the seclusion, especially living on a 5 lane busy road. Our 'secret garden' is behind our little cottage.

I hope to get out and work in my gardens over the next few days. I had a full work week this past week, so no gardening was done.
