Some of us have had to deal with "that neighbor" who doesn't appreciate plants and only wants you to have a lawn, overly trimmed trees and no brown fronds on palms.

Well, hopefully, after the lady in Oklahoma and this, things might change for the better in regards to gardening and regulations. I do not have my hopes up too much though. Unfortunately, as I see it, the only ones really paying attention are people like us who are already hip deep in gardening. But who knows... just maybe...

I hate grass...and my front yard is gradually losing it bit by bit...to ROSES! Did you know, rose petals are considered edible? No one has ever said anything detrimental abt. my front-yard veggie-garden.... sally

I live in unincorporated Orange County just outside Orlando. I pulled up the city code on municode.com. It is insane what they can and can't make you do, plant,not plant. The code for unincorporated orange county is not much better.

This really isn't the governments place to restrict what people can grow in their yards. If people want control over that they can live in a deed restricted community.
