I tried the potato onion before but I don't remember that I liked it, that can explain that I am not growing them anymore.:)

Silvia, did they complete their growth cycle well, making fairly large new bulbs?

Pat, I think that the heat and humidity stopped them from making large bulbs, some did and others didn't. But maybe if you grow them and you are a little bit colder you might have better results...Something like the garlic and shallots, sometimes I get them to make large bulbs and other times not. Short day onions are better for my area.
I love the red cipollino onions that I got in big bags grown in Arizona, winters are cold and dry there.
