Here's a tip. I use old mini blind slats for labels. When you cut them up, some have that little slot in the end. I take twist ties, markers and labels with me to swaps and if a tree or plant has no label, I label it right there and then. The labels hook right onto the tree limbs, so they don't fall out of the pots. I take extra long sections to make labels for 3-gal and larger pots. They stick far enough down into the edge so they don't fall out.

A good idea. As coincidence would have it, I just got done shortening a few of the blinds in my home so that they fit the windows better. It used to be if you fully extended the blinds, they dropped to the ground and then some. Now they fit the windows perfectly when fully extended. It makes the load on top of the blinds much lighter and probably extended the life of my blinds. So I have plenty of slats sitting on my workbench looking for jobs.
