Is my cassia a dud?

For butterflies, I planted 2 identical bushes 2or3 years ago, now 5 feet tall, in 4-hr full sun & bright light rest of day. In summer had only 1 or 2 single flowers, 1 or 2 caterpillars. Twice, I saw a yellow sulfur circle one but not alight on it.

One has one green pod like a greenbean - not flat.

Leaves are rounded and in pairs of 4 or 3 (see below...which is mine?)

Per UofF site: "Any plant you purchase from a nursery should be Senna bicapsularis, but it's a good idea to double-check that you aren't buying the invasive Senna pendula var. glabrata.
Senna bicapsularis has 3 pairs of leaflets on each leaf and flower stalks that are 0.12-0.2 inches long, while Senna pendula has 4-7 pairs of leaflets on each leaf and flower stalks that are 0.08 inches or longer."

So, not enough sun? With age the pairs of leaves will multiply? Wrong plant?
