The weather has been a roller coaster lately, some days are cold and some others hot like today and the rain also. Few of my leaf lettuce bolted, enough for me to clean the bed and plant again. But then again I have been busy eating the other greens, a lot of kale salads and I have not been picking too much of the lettuce. Arugula is doing great and soon I will have a big picking probably I will make something for company soon.
If you pick the bad leaves out of your lettuce patch they will keep producing for you or if you want to start again, we still have a lot of cool weeks for the greens to produce. I am on my second sowing for beets, swiss chard, kale, carrots, lettuce, turnips and cabbage,
