katkin : Thanks, nice knowin' theres another mango lover out there. This place should have huge harvests in a few years,..if I don't screw up. If all goes as planned, will be glad to share with others,..gots ta keep the critters at bay tho,..will have to get a plan together on that endeavor soon ! lol

I love mangoes. I just can't grow them here. I would move down to Zone 10 where I would be able to, but every time I bring it up, my wife tells me to 'have a safe trip'. I can't tell if she's being sarcastic or sincere...

Lol...that's Funny Joyfus!! No need to keep up with me...I'm a novice compared to many that grow a lot more than I do. Living in zone 9 its been a real challenge and a lot of work as I know you are totally aware. Like you I think this is my last tree also (the only way I would get another is "if" I need to replace one) due to death of one which I hope never happens. Since I've never tasted one of the Maha's yet...I'm going by the many great reviews I've read online, I hope you and I will love it as much as they do!

As I mentioned before if I lived in a warmer zone...I would plant at least 10 more Mangoes and 4 more Lychee trees and few other tropical fruits!

Leekle...ROFLMAO too on your comment about your wife. I'm with you on moving to Zone 10. As a matter of fact I had hubby convinced 3 years ago...but the real estate market was on a nose dive and we could NOT sell our existing house so we couldn't move. I've not completely given up quite yet...but the down side is I will have to start all over and I'm not sure I want to do that. Few of my Mango trees are turning 5 and 6 years old this spring...I'm finally seeing my trees "grow up" and hopefully start giving me more fruits. I'm not a spring chicken anymore and don't want to have to start over.
