Cool season bulbs

One of the hardest parts of my landscape for me to figure out is the long north side of my house. In the summer it gets full sun from sun-up to sun-down. During the 'winter' it is full and deep shade. So far, all I have put here are some Sweet Viburnums and Schilling's Hollies as both can grow in Sun or Shade. But recently I had a bit of an 'Ah hah!' moment and told myself "Bulbs! I'll put bulbs there!" But most of the bulbs I read about only fill in for the spring or summer side of things. Thus far only Painted Arums seem to fit the bill for 'a cool season bulb that likes shade.' I plan on getting some, even different varieties to mix it up, but I'm wondering if any of ya'll know of any other shade-love bulbs/perennials that come to life in our cooler months without completely dying off in the summer. Going dormant is fine, but I don't want to have to replant every October.
