got this cutting about a year ago, not sure where, leu, local mall, who knows.....anyone id it???? notice the black, needle-like thorns. thanks......m |

| Yes, Pereskia grandiflora, called the rose-cactus or wax rose. It'll grow 6 to 15 feet tall. |

| i think it get's fruit.....gooseberries?".......? something developing where the bloom was....any suggestions on how to grow it in zone 9...or 8 ish.....doing alot of cuttings....just in case....:) thanks........ |

Cindy, I have one in a large pot that I got a few months ago...it has been blooming ever since. Sometimes just one bloom and then sometime three or four. It's a neat plant for a pot but mine is getting awfully big pretty quickly, so it may have to go in the ground. BTW, I am in the Meadows in a single family home (on a secluded lot so I can plant whatever I want!). Where are you? Hester |

| has to stay in a pot here, but how big of a pot....it's getting huge! four foot spike coming out the center, thorns and all. i've read where it is good down to low thirties. keep cutting on it so i have lots for next spring, roots really easy! |
