Too much nitrogen will cause tomato plants to grow the vines and leaves only and not produce many flowers if any. Make sure you are using a fertilizer for tomato plants and not a general fertilizer.

You don't say how long they've been growing, what variety, or how tall - all may be factors to consider. Also a consideration: what is the 'days to harvest' info on the variety you're growing?

i have a variety. Black krim, pink brandywine, german johnson, golden jubilee (but these are doing great), sweet seedless, purple cherokee. I planted around Nov 7. they range from 2 feet tall to 4 feet high. I dont have days to harvest for them but I would have expected more by now. I think I have picked about 12 total tomatoes. I did notice some more flowers the last week. maybe they didn't like the colder weather?
