Bromeliad Question

Here's another pic from my friend's yard. We wanted to know the name of this plant so we can research the best way to take care of it. She has a lot of them in pots, in a shady area.

I just moved back up here to Lake Placid and don't know if these broms bloom or not.

No upright bloom. That's a Neoregelia, but I don't remember the variety. They get a bit more color as you bring them into either early morning or late afternoon sun. Stuff them into the ground on the south side of your property, under a bunch of old trees.

We always called it Lipstick because of the red tips. Nice, beautiful plants!
