Waiting until all the frost damage is done and pruning off dead leaves and stems. Then praying another cold snap doesn't come along next month.

My" canopy' has finally recovered from the hurricanes
so returning to my epiphyte garden. Finally have enough shade to consider it ,Going to do away with all the grass and arriving at an overall landscape plan. definitely putting plants with similar needs in relation to each other

Leekle, there had better NOT be another cold snap. I'm more miserable than my plants are when that happens. I'm pretty much only comfortable at 70 degrees to 95 degrees. Otherwise, I'm in sweats and a quilted flannel!
Gary, that sounds awesome! Hope you plan to post pics of all the stages?

For Titusville, there's less than a 50% chance you'll get another frost. By the end of the first week in March, the chance drops to 10%

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. In Michigan, we used Mother's Day as a guide to last frost. Here, I use St. Patrick's Day as a guide. Not that I actually HEED it, it's just that I'm more like "aware" of it.

I'm not going to trim the frost bitten plants for at least another few weeks! Or at least that's the plan...we'll see how long I can resist doing a little trimming. In the meantime I really need to finish adding the concrete strip in front of the rock border in the front so that it's easier to mow and trim along it. I also need to replace the rocks along the side bed with some larger ones. That should be enough to keep me busy for at least a few weekends!

Kara, I need to make some parts of my yard easier to mow, too. But I say that every year and don't do it. If my hubby made ME weed-whack, I might get off my tush and do something more than talk about it. LOL!

I agree with Shear_stupidity....I put on a sweater at 70 and turn on the heater for a shower. Hate the cold!
The cold snap didn't kill off the worms! So today I spayed all veggies with Bt and pyrethrum. I cleaned out the old tomatoe bed, added lattice to the "whatever" structure, (not sure what it is!)

Violet, I got up early and turned on a space heater yesterday before, during, and after my shower... then moved it to the living room, where I huddled with a Snuggie over it until I could feel my fingers and toes again. True story.
If you don't have a Snuggie, get one. I bought one recently for super-cheap more as a joke, but now you never see me without it!
