I am new to GardenWeb and just wanted to drop a quick hello to everyone. My wife and I are just getting into full gardening but absolutely LOVE plants! We just moved to a new house and are debating of all the colorful options we have. LOL

Where did you move here from? (Hardly anyone in Florida started out here, so we all understand the newness) Did you do much gardening before?

We moved down from NE Tennessee. We will have been here for 3 years the 19th of this month. My wife and I have always dreamed of living in FL ever since we got married (15 years the 21st of this month!) and finally the opportunity opened up. We really haven't gotten into outdoor plants and gardening, but we've always had an overabundance of indoor plants. I just started a crinum lily from pod and it's almost 4" tall now. We hope to get a lot of tropical color in our yard in the near future. Oh! And if anyone needs any Virginia Spiderwort, please let me know and I'll send you some!! We are OVER supplied with it...don't get me wrong, I think they are pretty, but I really don't like them sprouting up in the middle of our lawn!!! LOL

Although my body is about 15 miles north of the border, my heart and mind are always in FL! Enjoy your new home!

I say I am better late then never, welcome to the club! I love gardening and love to help any one become addicted to it too. I have so many trees on my over sized city lot I am starting my own rain forest. Don't get me started on orchids. And bushes and vines abound. Throw in a few fruit trees......... I guess you get the picture. :o)
