What should I expect for longevity in my St. Pete garden? Getting ready to plant one from box store's new supply of bulbs. Online, they look fantastic and foolproof... but, this is Florida (smile). Any advice?

I've had one for many years and it's has survived and bloomed every year. It gets morning sun and shade after noon, water 2x a week and fertilizer with the rest of the garden.
