Hello Jacob. I would suggest you not plant a eucalyptus. I did many years ago because they were so fast-growing and thought they would produce shade in no time. They did but they also shed their bark and leaves so often it made a mess of my yard. I got tired of the cleanup and had them taken out. Oaks are messy also but their shedding of leaves and pollen is limited to specific times of the year.

A magnolia has a beautiful flower but sheds its leaves constantly. What about a fruit tree? Consider an avocado - Brogdons are hardy, leafy and will grow to a 30 X 20 canopy, no root problems. Good luck.

A lemon tree might be nice, too. HD sells Meyer Lemon Trees often. The citrus flower smells so sweet. Pineapple Guava is a shrub that can be shaped into a tree and Sweet Olive, too.
