What are these??

They are crawling all over my yard

Looks kinda like a leafroller weevil.

Thanks. It does look like the bug. There is an infestation in my yard. The sides of my house is crawling with them. They are everywhere, its disgusting.

The article doesn't mention a way to control them. I'll try researching more.

Looks like the nymph stage of some sort of true bug - not sure which, tho.

In the past I obtained positive ID of larvae by a UF Entemologist - wrote an email w/ attached photo to following address:

Boxelder bugs, young ones I think. Eat the seeds of rain tree. Good bug.......

Wow, how interesting. Yes Golden rain trees next door to me. I get the seedlings sprouting all over my yard, real pesty tree.

Well, I guess its 'live and let live.'

I used to have some wild cotton plants that would be covered with these. Got rid of the plants, no more red bugs.
