Curry Plant (Murraya koenigii)

BevorLando

I'm interested in growing my own curry tree in my Central Florida back yard. The clerk at the Indian grocery said this morning the tree should thrive well here if I can keep it going for a year.

Anyone in Florida, zone 9 who has had success growing this tree? I'm also interested in where I can find one to buy. Our local garden shop does not carry them.

Thank you Sambac. I posted this also on my Next Door app and found an older couple just blocks away from me that have an amazing yard filled with exotics and share my love of gardening. They gifted me with a few curry plants from their giant and spreading tree (lol), as well as many other starts I was able to dig up and transfer. Thank you for the offer but I have a few lovely specimens potted and showing great promise!

Wonderful! Do you think that they would be willing to share a few more? --so nice that you have met close neighbors who share your gardening interests. I am also going to use your idea and post on our Deerfield Beach Island listserve!

You can have this one if you want to pick it up in Tampa while wearing a mask and socially distancing. If it is too big, you are welcome to dig some from the ground.

I would love to have thi—not too big at all. I will be accompanying my husband to Moffitt Cancer Center on Monday thé 20th. Would it be possible to pick this up that afternoon or evening?

Please send me a private message. I think I am set up for that on this site. This plant has grown roots from the container into the ground, so it will likely require some attention to help recover losing those roots. Right now, this plant is growing berries. The afternoon of July 20 would work for me.

you feel my situation is not ideal for this gorgeous plant, I am happy to dig another.
