Nailed it

My 22-year-old daughter calls me a "Crazy Plant Lady."
Which I love.
Then she drew this picture of me as a cartoon character.
Which I love even more.

(Notice she's aware that I'm overrun with "wildlife")

Your daughter is an amazing artist. That's fantastic!

There should be a big grasshopper on you somewhere, though.

I asked her to put a Lubber on my shoulder. She's doing it now and then I'll re-post!

Thanks for the compliments, guys! She really is awesome. She texted me, "What are some of your favorite plants?" (She doesn't know anything about them) I sent her a quick list, she googled them and came up with this an hour and 45 minutes later.

    This is so incredibly creative!

I see heliconia, coleus, elephant ears, or caldium, is that foxglove at your elbow? and a lily? gloriosa?

What an amazing talent...I am beyond impressed.....

At my elbow is Shell Ginger

Here is the list I sent her:

    Coleus
    Heliconia
    Canna Lilies
    Plectranthus
    Guara
    Euphorbia Firesticks
    Shell Ginger
    all Philodendrons
    Day Lilies
    Amaryllis
    Elephant Ears

I didn't know why she was asking, so I was just firing them at her in a text message. She typed back, "LOL! Okay. That's plenty⦠you're gonna love this." Then she sent me this less than two hours later.

I told her she should draw all the GW regulars just based on my descriptions. Wouldn't THAT be awesome.
If she does it, I'm SO posting them!

Thanks, guys! One of the things I love about it is that it's so true. It looks like me at the local garden center deciding what to buy.

I am going to frame it for sure! She hasn't given it to me yet, just dew it and sent me an MMS of it.
I should have her paint some of my boring pots.

That is adorable! I guess your poor eyes hadn't been terrorized lately in that picture, where is the flying perlite? What a talent, so cool.

LOL! Dawn, you bring up a very good point! Maybe when I frame it, I'll glue some perlite randomly to the frame? (Jk!)
Since there's no way to cover every eventuality, I'll just have her doodle me some subsequent story pics... ohmygosh... I'm gonna ask her to draw the cactus spines episode! She's the one that helped pick them out!

I would have it tattooed, but that is not for everyone. :)

I'm not sure a tattoo would be the way to go... I mean, 15-20 years from now, those elephant ears could end up looking like... well... the ears of an elephant. The terracotta pot could end up looking like someone's first day on the job at the pottery wheel. And the squirrel could end up looking more like a haggard ferret instead of an inquisitive squirrel. Gotta be careful with those tattoos and think about the 'end game'!

    Awesome.
I have five tattoos already, but I know what you mean, Leekle...

You should get it silk screened and hang it from your flagpole!

    I love it!
