I agree! April is typically one of our drier months...although they are calling for 40-50% chance of rain this Saturday. Even though there's times I've had 70% chance of rain and never got a single drop,lol...Keeping fingers crossed we all see some :o)

Well, if they predict a 70% chance of rain, that does mean that 30% of the forecast area won't see any rain....

Oddly enough, I find my chances of actually getting rain are higher when it is 30% forecasted rather than 70%.

We are Canadians with a home down in Ft Myers. Just about to head home. My son came down on Monday from Canada and has been painting the outside of the house. No easy job especially for a guy who just came down from the cooler weather at home to this very humid tropical like weather But, is about two thirds finished the work

Next 10 days forecast looks like summer time 90's and 50% chance of rain PTL. I irrigate with lake water and the canal was getting low last time it went dry my water bill tripled. I dont know how the rest of you afford your gardens when you have to pay that much for water.

Hearing about how high peoples water bills get is just one of the reasons I'm so glad I live outside of city limits and have well water! Of course, I've found that the best way to get it to rain is to just turn on a sprinkler. I've lost count of how many times I've turned a sprinkler on only to have it start raining a half hour later!

There are two ways for me to get it to rain. 1) Lay out some sort of fertilizer or ant bait that requires 'no watering within the first 24 hours' (I don't do this anymore) and 2) Wash my truck. Without fail, if I wash my truck, it will rain either while I'm washing it or a few hours later.
