problems with growing.

I am a new gardener in Brevard county Fl. My problem is that many of my plants seem to be drying up and then dying. The snap peas, summer crookneck squash, zuccini, and green beans. I make sure that the ground is kept moist, when it doesn't rain, I water. I am wondering if anyone might know why this is happening and what I can do to prevent it. Thank you for your help in advance.

It might depend on how long your water and how often. Do you plant in native soil or beef up the soil with compost? I lived in Vero Beach area for many years. Sandy soil dry up very quickly.
