I am having the same problem. I had top soil trucked in. One load was not enough. One truck load (8 yards) cost me $222. I ordered mine from Volusia shed in Deland. I suggest you mix the soil in with the sand because the topsoil became hard once it dried. Maybe do a 50/50 mix of topsoil/compost and spread it around the yard. If I was to do it again, that is what I would do.

You could save a lot of time and resources over many years by forgetting about grass. Truck in mulch for the cost of "topsoil" and spread that instead, on top of the sand, and gradually plant well-adapted ground covers.
