Begonias

Relatively new to Florida gardening and have several begonias. I have dragonwing Santa Cruz, an angelwing, and one called Castaways whose type I don't know but is of a caning type.

Having an apt. patio which has its front flush with the face of the building and faces due south, its proving to be a challenge.. To complicate matters, due to shading by trees, the sun doesn't reach most of the patio front by late morning Further complicating matters yet is a 4' high pittisporum that runs the full width of the patio front. Aaugh!

How much sun can each of these take and how much do they really need? I'm more than willing to play checkers with them during the day if need be.

Castaways occasionally tip burns (has all winter)...is this too much sun? not enough water? too many salts in the water?

Any help will be happily appreciated.
