Those are so good whether you eat fresh off the plant, in a salad or cooked in stir fry. Is this inside a greenhouse or outside since it seems insect pest is a major problem over there? If only you were here in the central valley of Ca(Fresno). The Asian farmers grow them winter, spring and fall except summer when it gets too hot.

Outside - & little to no insect probs here during the Fall/Winter seasons. They should be done by the end of May.

Pease are my favorite thing about winter. We eat every type of pea out there, but sugar snaps are the BOMB!

My peas are starting to show signs of stress (PM and some leaves getting brown) so I know the end is getting closer, but they are still doing well for now and are over the fence by a couple inches. They've never made it that tall before!

Oh those look great! What variety? Pods look longer & larger than the 1s I've been growing.

Last night I oven-roasted a batch (425F @ 8 min.), then tossed w/ chopped mint simmered for a minute or 2 in butter & salt & pepper - fantastic!

Baker Creeks sugar snap peas. MMM they are great and you can see not only are they on TALL stalks, but they are prolific. I can't say enough. They are just starting to get some PM and a few brown leaves here and there, but it's been 90* out the last week.

Silvia - in case it wasn't clear, I sauteed the chopped mint in the butter to soften it before mixing in the peas.

& I think mine were Super Sugar Snaps, ibarbidahl - I seem to recall that they don't get quite as big as the regular Sugar Snaps - go figure!

Nom, nom. I just LOVE snap peas. I would grow any kind you could throw at me... Heck, I wouldn't even mind having them thrown at me. LOL. I think I might have the Amish ones waiting for Fall. Let me check. If I wasn't foolish enough to by the smallest packet I'll share. :-D I

They all look great, mine were done a month ago :-( What varieties are each of you growing? I've tried several but keep going back to the Super Sugar Snaps because they are so tall.
