Wow, how gorgeous! I'm afraid of being Captain Obvious, but by specifics, do you want the name of the plant? It's a clivia - but I have a feeling you already know that. From what I have heard, they can be a more picky, difficult plant - especially to get bloom - but yours looks perfect! Great job!

Thanks everyone. It's still in the original container nested in a five gallon bucket in the shade. Looking at Mark's photos it looks to me like he's mostly shaded so that's the way I've kept it, watering only about every 10 days to keep it fairly dry, come the rainy season I'll probably have to move it more under the porch.

Mark, do you have the variety or is it a NOID?

I am a common name gardener! Heck I can 't even remember them half the time........:). Somebody on GW should know.......hopefully! I like the spring bloom....name is secondary .....hopefully you'll get some pups...enjoy!

Me too, if it's pretty who cares, just though I'd ask. Pups? Have you tried to hand pollinate yours or is that another difficult proposition.

Well, last night I hand pollinated the ones that were opened, the other blooms opened today so here's the final picture.
