Naples Botanical garden bromeliads; what ARE they????

These are in FULL blazing hot sun. When I saw this blog post, I almost fell over in my chair. They are gorgeous! Anyone familiar with any of the broms and where I could find some? Thanks!

And, I will definitely be taking a trip to Naples, and SOON.

I think this is an Aechmea blanchetiana if I am not mistaken . The Aechmea Blanchetiana isn't rare, but the fact that it looks this good and can take all the direct sun you can throw at it makes it really desirable.

I'm so glad this was posted. I visited Anna Marie Island recently and saw similar looking broms glowing in full sun and wondered about the variety. I share your appreciation.
