basically, I just make sure they're draining and not clogged up and holding water. If it's really bad (day and night long rain every day for several days), I'll bring them under a covered porch. But that's usually only if there's a low pressure system hanging around that won't leave.

Yes, when I see a forecast for weather like this, I bring certain plants into the screened porch. I brought in the crown of thorns, some bromeliads, some plants I got off the clearance rack that I am nursing from already being overwatered, and all of my cuttings (as they would otherwise rot and drown). I leave out the majority of my plants and hanging baskets. I do make sure that nothing is directly under the roof line where they would be subject to a washout.

I hope all of your potted plants are doing ok and getting the right amount of water.

The plants are fine right now. Most of them were on the porch during the storm. I guess I shouldn't worry too much about it, then, since I don't have cacti or succulents?

Nah... I wouldn't worry about it too much. Especially with plants that are established in their pots.
