Thanks to you, not only do I have two lush, nicely growing Blueberry bushes, but I have also learned that I actually like blueberries. At least, I have liked the few I have tasted from my bushes. The ones in the grocery stores I still don't care for. Now I'm really looking forward to next year when I can grow a full crop and not just a few here and there that I missed while pruning. I'm also looking at possibly adding one more bush, but my logical side keeps telling me that I just don't have the room for another.

Jerk.

Lol.....saw the title and thought what did I do now? The commercial guys want the berries to be big and blue but don't care what they taste like. A good rule of thumb is not to pick any berries till half the berries on the bush are ripe. The last thing to develop on blueberries is the BB taste......sugar comes first then only later the taste. At least 4-5 days full blue before picking and a week is better.

I had only 4 or 5 blueberry plants before I met Bamboo-Rabbit, I now have over 50 growing in 30 gallon pots, yeah they are yummy and they freeze well for later use.

He just got me started on blueberries this year. And figs. And rabbits. Hmph.
