Did you know that Easter Lilies (Lilium longiflorum) can be planted in the ground? They are easy to grow in Florida and the bulbs even multiply. Plant it in a sunny location and then forget about it. During the summer, the green foliage will turn yellow, then brown and die away. Don't worry, it is not gone. Next spring, new green leaves will burst out of the ground and where you had only one stalk, there will be two or three. Each stalk is loaded with beautiful white blooms and the scent is wonderful! It's a great spring surprise.
