Can Someone Identify This Little Fellow?

Found a flock of the critters in attached picture on a lily here in Pensacola this afternoon. They're about 1/8" long and look like flea beetles to me. However, they weren't obviously chewing on anything. Just sort of wandering around. And they don't jump--though they will fly a little way if they have to.

After an extensive web search, I can now confirm that is a bug.

Thanks. That it might be a tick had crossed my mind, too. And there was a bunch of them. Yuck.

They seem to be gone; nonetheless I'll stay close to my bottle of Cutter's. The important thing is that the buds on the lily they were on remain intact.

I doesn't look like a tick to me. Other than that? I'd say it is a bug...an insect to be more exact.
