You can usually get the bulbs at Lowe's. I bet if you looked around you could probably find a neighbor that had some to dig up.

Are you referring to the huge EEs seen in landscapes? This one is Xanthosoma sagittifolium. Its an old heirloom plant hardly ever sold in nurseries anymore. Best bet is to get some young ones from someone.

The EE bulbs sold in stores is a large form of Colocasia esculenta.

Some other large EEs that are common in nurseries inlcude; Alocasia macrorrhizos, Alocasia 'Calidora', Alocasia 'Portora' Alocasia 'Sarian', and Colocasia gigantea.

If you want the common EE, look for an Asian food store, preferably Indian. Ask for Eddo or Taro (commonly used in curries) & look for ones with tiny shoots sprouting for faster leaves surfacing. They are sold by weight.

You didn't say what city you live in. Elephant Ears grow in my yard, I can't get rid of them.
