I didn't have that problem when I grew the yard long beans. The ants are probably after the aphids honeydew. I would give the plants a spray of water to get rid of the aphids and after that I would put any of the remedies listed below, re apply after a rain.

They may be after nectar - this happens w/ okra as well. Flowers aren't the only source of nectar in plants - I believe the word is "nectary" which means a sort of pore on a leaf or stem that secretes nectar. They usually do no harm this way - you say the plants are doing "very well" ...?
