Your vine is called a sky vine. The other name is
Thunbergia Grandiflora. I also have it in a container,
It would be great to have it in the ground, but because
they get so large and grow so fast, you have to have a
very large area to grow it.

Thank you...that's the name! Yes, I was warned when I bought this vine to put it in a container. Sure glad I did because this photo only shows about half its size. Thanks again for the name info.

I don't see the pot containing the vine. Is it on the other side of the fence (your?) side?

Unless it's an enormous pot the roots have to have grown out of it and into the soil. That's a very big vine.

Any visits from butterflies or hummingbirds?

It is still in the pot and the pot is setting on a concrete stepping stone to contain the roots. The pot is back under the vine on my side of the fence...covered up by the vine. Yes, we do have butterflies but haven't seen any hummingbirds yet.
