Yes, we start our kids and grandkids early, don't we! LOL I love the boots - how about a picture of dgd in the boots!!!

When the boots are out grown, poke holes in the bottom and plant something in them.

That's a great idea... unless I have another grandchild in them by then. LOL!

Those kids won't know for many years the gift you are giving your grandchildren! But they will remember and be thankful for their wonderful memories. And it is likely that they will be converts to our team of gardeners and it is highly likely their kids will be gardeners too.

In this day and age of high tech, gizmos and gadgets, this is one of the best ways to bond with the kids in our families. Also it lets kids know that food comes from the ground not a shelf in a store.

How often can a very young child be genuinely productive with the help of an adult nurture and mature a veggie. Then harvest it and bring it to the table. Then to receive thanks and compliments at the table. At that point they are lifelong gardeners and their feet does not touch the ground!

I'd love to see your young gardener wearing those boots!

I'll have to take fresh pics of both of them in their gardening boots when they're here again tomorrow. Everything recent that I have doesn't show the boots. (They've both worn them so long, I don't think to make sure they're in the picture!)
