I have a good frogs legs recipe if you need it.

I don't know what sort of frog this is, but they get into my pool when it rains at night for some reason, where they often drown. Anyway, this little guy somehow managed to get on top my my dog's tennis ball to dry out. Still not sure how he did it.

Love the frog pix Kara! Makes me want a pond. I have about a million squirrel frogs like every year. This guy is about 1/3 inch.

I think this year for the first time since I've had a pond I have more frogs than Cane toads they also seem smaller and far less obnoxious Is the invasion slowing down??
Are they crossing with the native toads?? they sure seem a lot smaller and far less numerous. then in years past . Haven't seen one bigger than my hand in ages lol gary

Tradition, when a friend of my had a pool she had the same problem with frogs getting into her pool. I think that the frog in the picture might be a either a greenhouse frog, pines wood treefrog, or a southern cricket frog. I'm leaning towards the greenhouse frog though.

Gary, I hope that the invasion is slowing down! I've only seen cane toads on tv and never want to have to deal with them in the garden! It's bad enough finding big cuban treefrogs in the garden.

After looking it up, I believe that it is in fact the greenhouse frog. Thanks!

Btw, I had no idea there were so many varieties of frogs in Florida!

Last year my pond 4' x 8' was full of toads and frogs doing the spring thing. This year I only saw two pair. Who knows what determines what happens.
